Meet Sheila
Hello, my name is Sheila and I'm the host at Fanore Self Catering Holiday Homes. I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my website today and tell you a little more about myself.

I have been welcoming guests for over 3 years to our property and prior to this, my family had been hosting guests over 3 decades. For 30 years I worked in the hospitality industry, both as a chef and at management level in 4 and 5 star hotels in Ireland and London.
Ten of those years were spent on international cruise ships worldwide, including expedition cruising to Antarctica.
I can honestly say that Fanore on a sunny day is the most beautiful place in the world.

I have had the good fortune of living in one of the most beautiful Counties of Ireland with Galway Bay on my doorstep along with the Burren National Park. I have a passion for the ocean which has brought me back to Fanore to share this amazing location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with all of our guests.
Fanore Self Catering properties are located in a stunning area with landscaped gardens and private parking. All properties boast panoramic sea views nestled under the Slieve Elva Mountain. Overlooking Galway Bay, the Aran Islands and the Connemara Mountains, it is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Fanore with its unspoilt beaches, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, Lahinch and Ireland's traditional Music Capital - Doolin.
Fanore Beach is on the northwest coast of the Burren and its golden arc of sand with the backdrop of bare limestone hill make this a very distinctive Geosite. Our property is a unique location for relaxation and exploring the Burren flora, fauna and archaeological sites. There is a local store in the village as well as our famous ‘O’Donohues pub’, known for it’s fish and chips and there are many other eating out locations in Doolin or Ballyvaughan.

Local activities include the many walking, hiking trails of the Burren, Cliff of Moher & the matchmaking town of Lisdoonvarna.
